Rabbi Carrie Benveniste serves as the director of the MJC&S Early Childhood Center. She was ordained at the Zeigler School of Rabbinic Studies here in Los Angeles. She lives with her Husband and two young children.
Carrie began working in education during her undergraduate studies at California Polytechnic University where she participated in Americorps Service program. During Americorp she co-ran the Teen Academic Parenting Program, a program that mentored and educated teen parents in early childhood education and continuing high school education. Since then she has been teaching and working with young children in both Jewish and non Jewish settings.
Rabbi Carrie brings hands on experience with Reggio and the Outdoor Classroom to create a unique, loving and spiritual early school experience.

Before joining the Malibu Jewish Center Family, Lauren was a fundamental participant in the development of the Temple Beth Haverim preschool where she joined the staff as a preschool teacher for 4 years. Lauren continues to be an active volunteer within and outside the Jewish community. Lauren did her post-graduate work in Early Childhood Education at CSUN and received her director units at Pierce College. Lauren has been married for 27 years and has two wonderful children. She brings her loving, warmth and nurturing qualities to our synagogue. She always provides social, emotional and cognitive guidance to your developing children. |
